William Gaslin

Gaslin, William O. GASLIN, WILLIAM O., 78, husband of Wilma "Tootsie" Gaslin, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007. Born in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Earl and Melvina Gaslin. He was a member of Shively Christian Church and First Christian Church, Leesburg, FL. He served as a minister with Shively Christian Church for 19 ½ years and Northside Christian Church, Spring, TX, for 21 ½ years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Owen Wampler. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Saundra Montgomery (David), Leslie Wampler (Charles) and James Gaslin; grandchildren, Jeff Montgomery (Brooke), Phil Montgomery, Katie Wampler and Bud Wampler; and brothers, Donald Gaslin and Kenneth Gaslin. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Shively Christian Church, with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, and at Shively Christian Church, Friday from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service.
