William "Bill" Edmond Hack, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024. Bill was born on December 14, 1947, to the late Jesse and Rebecca (Preston) Hack, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Bill retired from Hillerich & Bradsby (Louisville Slugger), where he worked for many years as a computer programmer. He was a 50 year member of the Louisville Masonic Lodge #400 and was a past patron of Eastern Star. Bill was a Shriner and was a CPR instructor for many years. He was an avid gun collector and enthusiast. Bill was big on his family's genealogy and did research for years, even visiting multiple cemeteries. Bill's proudest achievement was his 50 year marriage to the love of his life, Linda. On March 30, 2024 they celebrated this milestone. Bill's love for his family will be his lasting legacy, and he will be missed by all that knew him.
Surviving Bill is his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Hack; his daughter, Rebecca Wilkerson (Brian Stines); his granddaughter, Cara Wilkerson; his long time friend, Gary Pohl; along with extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor Bill's life will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Chaplain Ben Burton officiating. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
