Sandra Jean Rhea

Sandra Jean Rhea, 69, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024.  Sandy was born on January 24, 1955, in Clark County, Indiana.

Sandy was fortunate to have met the love of her life, Buddy, at a young age and they were blessed with a 50-year marriage where they raised a family together in love, which was what she considered her greatest joy and accomplishment.  Reading was a joy Sandy enjoyed and read several full series of stories from different authors.  She was extremely skilled at crafting and spent her time doing cross stitching and quilting, usually gifting her creations to others; this is how she showed her giving heart.  Sandy loved traveling and spending time with her family.  She always put her family before the rest, this will be her legacy for her family.

Preceding Sandra in passing were her parents, Charlie and Stella Lamb; and her brothers, Raymond Rupe and Ronnie Rupe.

Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Buddy Rhea; her sons, Brian Rhea, David Rhea (Chris), and Michael Rhea (Lea); her grandchildren, Kiera (Andrew), Shelby, Briana, Jaxon, Jaden, Logan and Connor; and her great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Buddy; along with her extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Sandra’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Interment will be private on Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery West.
