Robert Lyons Jr

Robert "Sonny" Joseph Lyons, Jr. 83, husband to the late Mary Frances Elmore Lyons, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2017. He was born to the late Robert L., Sr. and Ethel Brown Lyons in Louisville on February 12, 1934. He was also preceded in death by siblings, George Lyons, Dorothy Wise, and Marie Gilbert.
Sonny was a journeyman carpenter for Anderson Wood Products and a contract delivery driver for Smith's Furniture.
He is survived by his children, Michael Lyons (Melinda), David Lyons (Rita), Debbie Passafiume, and Tim Lyons (Barbara) along with grandchildren, Amber O'Neal (Scott), Chuck Passafiume, Brittany Passafiume Newton (Jacob), Lauren Lyons, Amanda Passafiume, Katlynn Wathen and great-grandchildren, Madeline O'Neal, Lucas Newton, Peyton Newton, Harper Jean Lyons, Olivia O'Neal.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
