Raymond Joseph Portman

Raymond Joseph Portman, 84, passed away on January 5, 2024. He was born on October 2, 1939. He retired from Ford Motor Company. Raymond was a car enthusiast, he loved his ’57 Chevy, going to car shows all over and going to car races. He was a UL fan, an animal lover of all kinds but really liked dogs. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Gayle, especially going out west to Yellowstone and areas around there. Raymond enjoyed time with his family and deeply loved his late sons, Mark and Steven Portman.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gayle and his sons, Mark Portman and Steven Potman.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Taylor Portman and great granddaughter, Stevie Lauder.

Visitation for Raymond will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be private.
