Raymond Poggenborg, Sr.

Raymond J. Poggenborg, Sr., 87, loving husband to Betty (Geiger) Poggenborg, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.  He is preceded in death by his son Raymond J. Poggenborg, Jr., seven siblings, two step-sons, Larry and Terry Bauder, and a grandchild.

Raymond retired from American Standard, was a member of Harvest Church of God, and a volunteer for Dare to Care.

Along with his wife of 14 years, he is survived by, step-children, Gary Bauder (Patti), Karen Munn (Dennis), Barry Bauder (Kim), a niece and nephew Debbie and Ronnie Poggenborg along with 7 step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great grandchildren.

A very special thanks to Barry “Butch” and his family for their loving care through the years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery, 1808 S. Preston Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40217.
