Patricia Scotland

Patricia Y. Scotland, 74, passed away on Wednesday March 3, 2021.

She was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church for over 25 years.  She was a retired teacher for JCPS where she touched many students lives and served as a “Foster Granny” for several years. She was affectionately known as “Mom” to many people in the community because of her big heart and loving nature.

Patricia was met at the gates of Heaven by her parents, Kenneth and Mai Young and her son, Howard Scotland

She leaves to cherish fond memories her three children, daughters Patricia and Shannon Scotland, son Kenneth (Christina) Scotland; granddaughters Vanessa Scotland and Latrina Brice; sister Hazel Brown, niece Carol (Clifford) Richards, Dr. Kenneth (Nikki) Brown all of Durham, NC; several great-grandchildren and great nieces and nephews; many dear relatives and close friends.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Saturday from 11am – 12pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.   A private funeral service will follow.
