Opsie Cashman

Opsie Cashman, a very beautiful and most loving mom, grandma and great grandma, 92, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on October 12, 2023, in Branson, Missouri. She was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with warmth, love, and kindness.

Born on March 12, 1931, she was the last of 14 siblings to pass away. Her parents, the late Chester Ritchie and Fannie (Tolson) Ritchie provided her with a nurturing environment where she learned the values of compassion and generosity.

Opsie embarked on a fulfilling career as an Executive Manager with Curtis 1000 before retiring to Winter Haven, Florida. Her dedication to her work and unwavering commitment earned her the respect of her colleagues throughout the years.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Opsie reveled in the joys of motherhood. She was blessed with three children: Linda Geary, Bill Miracle, Jr., and Roy Miracle. Unfortunately Roy Miracle passed away in 1985 leaving a void in her heart.

Opsie had many wonderful qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. She had an exceptional talent for cooking and delighted all with her mouth-watering dishes—especially her tantalizing spicy foods. Her love for her grandchildren was evident in the thoughtful gifts she would give and the way she wanted to hear of their accomplishments and lives.  Opsie's sweet and kind nature was a constant source of comfort and inspiration. She possessed an innate ability to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed, never hesitating to support those around her.

The services to honor Opsie's life will be held on October 21, 2023. The visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Louisville Memorial Gardens and Funeral Homes West located at 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216.  Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held from 1:00 p.m., with Charlie Ingram officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the cemetery.

In this time of grief, our thoughts are with Opsie's surviving family and friends: Linda Geary and Bill Miracle Jr.—her beloved children—and Trevor, Mark, Candra, Elysha, and Eric—her adored grandchildren. May you find solace in each other's support as you navigate this difficult period.

Rest in eternal peace, dear Opsie Cashman. Your presence will forever be missed, but your memory will be cherished for generations to come.
