Norma Deweese

Norma Jean Deweese, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on June 6, 2022.  She was born January 4, 1934, to the late Louis Ervin and Alma (Aull) Philpott. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Goff and Donald Deweese; her sons, Donald Ray Goff, Gary Lee Goff and Darrell Wayne Goff; her daughters, Rebecca Smith, Deborah Goff and Shelia Duvall; her granddaughter that she raised, Veronica Smith Blanton; her brothers, Louis Ervin Philpott, Jr., and Kenny Philpott; and her sisters, Helen Desroches and Jackie Mason.

Surviving Norma is her children, Donna Smith, Roger Goff and Steven Goff (Debbie); her daughter-in-law, Debra Goff; her sisters, Wanda Alcorn and Linda Lanham (Ricky); her brothers, J.D. Philpott (Linda) and Alan Dale Philpott (Nellie); her grandchildren that she raised, Kimberly Witte and Timothy Smith; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; along with her 17 great-great grandchildren.

Special thanks to her granddaughters Kimberly Witte, Kristin Goff, Amanda Lucas and Dawn Clark for taking such wonderful care of her, also to Jan Philpott and her nephew Ervin Ray Warnell for always calling to check on her.

Funeral services will be held in Norma’s memory on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 1PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Friends may call Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 2PM until 7PM and Monday from 9AM until service time at the funeral home.
