Mildred Francis Edmonson (Hornback) 82, passed away peacefully Friday, March 18, 2016.
Born in Louisville KY on March 14, 1934, she graduated from Ahrens Trade School and made a career spanning more than 40 years as a bookkeeper at Telco and Park Federal Credit Unions. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend known for her perennial kindness.
Mildred (Millie) was preceded in death by her infant daughter Rebecca Ann, husband, Sam Edmonson, parents, Clyde and Julia (Holston) Hornback, brothers Clyde, James Arnold, Lee, and Robert, and daughter-in-law Sara Snyder.
She is survived by her son, Mark, daughter-in-law Jessica, grandsons Max and Donovan, brother and sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews and their children, and her cat Boo.
A Mass will be held for her at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40258 at 5:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. A gathering to celebrate her life will take place at her home on Saturday, March 26, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM EDT.
