Michael Scott Vernon, 54, loving husband to Deborah (Cahoe) Vernon, passed away on Thursday February 4, 2021 at home with his family. He was born to the late Jerry and Peggy (Sucher) Vernon in Louisville on January 26, 1967. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Shephard.
Mike retired, after 27 years, as a chemical operator from Hexion Chemical Company, he loved to golf and fish and was an avid UL fan. Mike was also a member of Louisville 1st Church of Nazarene.
Besides his wife of 34 years he is survived by their son Christopher (Chelsea) and grandson, Kingston along with nieces and nephews, Addison, Dalton, and Emma Shephard and his furry friend, Harley. He is also survived by his in-laws, Michael and Alice Cahoe, his Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jim, along with many cousins, and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
Due to COVID restrictions, masks are to be worn at all times and social distancing is expected.
