Matthew Koreck

Matt Koreck, 74, husband to Geraldine Fahey Koreck, passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Norton Hosparus Center. He was born to the late Matthew and Jane (Pfieffer) Koreck in Louisville, KY on June 20, 1942. He is also preceded in death by a brother David Koreck and a great-grandson, Keagan Emory Andrew Logsdon.
Matt was a plumber and retired from Norton Heath Care as a maintenance plumber; he was also a member of Plumbers' Local 107 and a Marine Veteran.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by their children, Cynthia Thomas (Joe), Matthew Koreck, Victoria Kuhn (Anthony), Melissa Wilson (John) along with grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Cortney, Matthew, Lindsey, Leah, Sylvia, Jeremy, Ethan, Jenna and great-grandchildren Kayden, Matthew, Trinity, and a grandson on the way. He will also be missed by a sister Janie Schaffner (Bobby).
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 7:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm until time of service.
