Mary Eleanor Henry

With heavy hearts and great sadness, the family of Mary Eleanor Henry proclaim she was called Home on August 31, 2023, at the age of 98. Mary was born on June 11, 1925, in Louisville Kentucky to the late Harry and Mary (Sass) Diersen.

Mary married the love of her life, Ernest Sylvester Henry, on January 8, 1949. Together they enjoyed many decades of marriage until his passing in 2019. She has been a member of the catholic community for over 60 years.

Mary is survived, loved, and will be remembered by her 13 children, Randy Henry, Nancy Stewart (Denny), Stuart Henry (Shelby), Tommy Henry (Robin), Lisa Morris (Ronnie) David Henry (Jim), Junie Henry (Jeanie), Teresa Woosley (Darryl), Kevin Henry (Veronica), Carmen Jones (Joel), Beth Lowe (John), Jeff Henry (Edna), Brian Henry (La’Shon); her grandchildren; her great grandchildren; her great-great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Friends may call on the family from 9am until time of mass at the church. Interment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, 4400 Dixie Highway, where Mary will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Ernest.
