Lola Mae Rone Foley, 89 years old, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family June 17, 2022.  She shared nearly 70 years of marriage with her husband Bert, until his death November 25, 2019. They loved to travel the world together, and made many great friends. One of her favorite times in life was the five years she and Bert lived in the Republic of Panama while he was in charge of the Southern Command Network.

Lola was a truly creative lady! As an accomplished artist, she received many awards for her paintings. She also loved to sew, and enjoyed making clothes for her girls when they were young. She crocheted baby blankets, layette outfits, scarves, hats, and more. Lola loved all crafts and enjoyed making Christmas decorations and angels. She also loved to sing. She was a beautiful woman with a gorgeous smile and a heightened sense of style .

Her life's accomplishments include earning her real estate license, working as a Quality Control Inspector at Conco, being a member of art clubs and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteering at the Ky State Fair Arts and Crafts exhibition.

Lola loved her family immensely. She is survived by her 3 children Pamela Vance (Kenneth), Lana Tackett (Robert), and Victor Foley (Laura), 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Thurmon and Kelly Rone, sisters by heart Tyva Russell and Ally Morgan, plus many dear nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cuthbert (Bert) Foley, parents Ruel and Mabel Rone, brothers Ernest and Glennon Rone, sisters Carlene Coomer, Pauline Blanton, and Etheline Bellar, and grandson Jacob Vance.

Lola will be at Louisville Memorial Garden West for visitation Wednesday June 22 at 1 pm until 7 pm, with her funeral the next day at 11 am.
