Lawton Davis Sr

Lawton T. Davis, Sr., 86, husband to Edith Ritchie Davis, passed away at Robley Rex V. A. Medical Center, on Monday December 25, 2017.
He was born to the late Olen G. and Vallie (Kessler) Davis in Greensburg, KY on September 1, 1931. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sue Davis, two brothers, Luard and Billy Davis and daughter-in-law Jane Davis.
He was a truck driver for McLean Trucking, a member of Pleasure Ridge Church of God, and an Army veteran.
Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by children, Lawton Davis, Jr., Mike Davis, Mark Davis (Cheryl), Twila Cowles (Jimmy), Kim Bishop (Keith), eight grandchildren , five great-grandchildren along with siblings, Leon Davis, George Davis and sister Shelby Benningfield.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:30 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
