Juanita Cox

Juanita R. Cox, 88, wife to the late Jerry Cox, passed away at University of Louisville Medical Center on Saturday April 22, 2017. She was born to the late Clyde and Lilly Scott Rickard in Sacramento, KY on September 25, 1928. She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jaclyn.
Upon Jerry's return from the service in WW II, they were married, finished high school, and then moved to Louisville where they raised their family.
Juanita worked as a CMT in several nursing facilities; she attended Southeast Christian Church, Southwest Campus, was a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Amaranth, Inc. (Minnie Selby Memorial Court.)
She is survived by her children, Jerry Cox (Suk-Hui), Cecilia Saksefski (Mark), and Jon Cox along with grandchildren, Vanessa, Jennifer (Josh), Kristina, Alison (Justin), Gwendolyn, Jason, Kaitlin (Jacob), Craig and great-grandchildren, Brian, Liam, Samuel, Dean, Zachary, and Elias.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
