John Wilson Fields, 86, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1937, to the late Clarence and Lucy Campbell Fields and grew up in eastern Kentucky. He was an Army Veteran and a retiree from the Board of Elections. Prior to that, he had a successful career in sales. John enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and all kinds of sports. He loved spending time going to Churchill Downs with his friends. John was preceded in death by his siblings, Forester, Louise and Eddie.. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Karwejna and Pam Singleton; sister, Joy Worley; sister-in-law, Kay Fields; his grandchildren, Kyle Lieber (Kristen) , Amy Kunz (Dan) Matt Singleton, John Singleton and Sarah Karwejna; his great-grandchildren, J.T., Clayton, Adam, Blakely and Easton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10:00 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
