James B. Carroll

James B. Carroll, 76, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at home in Carrollton, Virginia with his family by his side. He was born on June 25, 1947 to the late Layman “Pete” and Isa “Pat” Carroll. He retired from Louisville Gas and Electric Company and was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Shively Masonic Lodge. James enjoyed collecting coins, pocket watches, and watching history documentaries and Sci-Fi movies.

He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Sullivan (Brian); his grandson, Aaron Sullivan; his furry feline friends, Chisai and Pebbles; his brother Bruce Carroll; and his niece and nephew, Chrissi York and Robert Carroll.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 until the time of the services at the funeral home.

A reception will be held at 3 PM at the VFW Post, 2902 7th Street Road .
