Harold Barnett

Harold S. Barnett, 89, husband to Charlotte Baker Barnett, passed away at his home on Wednesday September 6, 2017 with his wife, daughter, son and granddaughter by his side. He was born to the late Charles and Mildred (Thomas) Barnett in Danville, KY on March 26, 1928.
He is, also, preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Rachel Walls, Hazel Wooten, Herman Barnett, Howard Barnett, and Homer Barnett.
Harold and Charlotte married on December 20, 1952; he served the Army during the Korean Conflict and drove a truck for B & L Motor Freight.
Besides his wife of 64 years, he is survived by their children, Linda Jackson (Dave), Becky Swann (Marvin), Chuck Barnett (Barbara), Peggy Barnett (Jack Clark), and David Barnett with eleven grandchildren; Sarah Short (Bobby), Aaron Jackson (Stephanie), Hannah Killebrew (Daniel), Stephen Swann, Karin Dunn (Ernest, II), Dora Swann, Samantha Swann, Anna Swann, Melissa Pritchett, Jeffrey Barnett, and Chris Barnett, six great-grandchildren; Avery Dunn, Triton Dunn, Mason Dunn, Kolby Swann, Raqiyah Killebrew, and Taliyah Killebrew, and a brother Harlan Barnett (Joyce).
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Friday from 2-7 pm and Saturday from 10:00 till time of service.
