Gordon Grant

Gordon Paul Grant, 80, husband to the late Ann Gilligan Grant, passed away on Sunday October 1, 2017 at the Episcopal Church Home.
Gordon was born to the late Paul Edward and Mary Belle (Gagel) Grant in Louisville on March 7, 1937.
He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Susanna Fairlight Grant.

He attended Manuel High School until his junior year when he was awarded a scholarship to J. B. Speed School of Engineering. Later, he was offered a basketball scholarship to Western Kentucky University and played for Coach Ed Diddle for one year. After suffering an ankle injury he returned to school and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in psychics. He married Ann Gilligan in 1967, they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio until 2013 when they returned to Louisville. Gordon retired from General Electric after 35 years of service.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Edward Grant, II, LTC U. S. Army and Benjamin William Grant, LtCol USMC (Brandy), along with two grandchildren, Logan and Ava Grant. He is also survived by a brother, Edward Grant (Edie) and a sister Mary Jewell Grant Chapman (Hank).

A service celebrating Gordon's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 6th, 2017 at St. Luke's Chapel of the Episcopal Church Home, 7504 Westport Road. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of service. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
