Gary Thomas Satterly

Gary Thomas Satterly, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 7th, 2024.  He was born on October 22, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Gary worked for 25 years from 1982 until his retirement in 2007, for the Louisville Metro Corrections Home Incarceration Program.  He assisted many people during his tenure and was proud of what he did.  Gary was a loving husband to his wife, Joy, and enjoyed spending time with his family.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Satterly; his mother, Elnora Hicks; his stepfather, James Real; his sister, Barbara Satterly; and his brothers, Donald Satterly and James Satterly.

Left to honor Gary's memory is his beloved wife, Joy Satterly; his son, Gary Matthew; his daughter, Dorothy Jaggers; his sister, Linda Grismer; his four grandchildren; his 8 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Gary will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Ryan Stansbury officiating.  Visiting hours will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
