Ernest Ray Flanigan

Ernest Ray Flanigan, 56, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 8, 1967, to the late Lawrence and Ruth Flanigan, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Ernest worked for many years as a Project Manager for General Electric.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.  Ernest loved to drink Budweiser beer.  Him and his wife, Angela, spent a lot of time traveling together.  He was a great man and friend and will be missed by all that knew him.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Sue, Theresa, Joe, Ina, Dan, and David.

Left to cherish the memory of Ernest's life is his loving wife, Angela Flanigan; his children, Curtis Ray Flanigan (Jennifer), Travis Eugene Flanigan (Rebecca), Donovan Trent Flanigan (Katarina), Sierra Dickey, and Andrew Edelen; his siblings, Norman, Tom, Ronnie, Donnie, and Patricia; along with several grandchildren and other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Ernest will be at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway, with Tommy House officiating.  Visiting hours to call on the family and show your love and support for their loss will be on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
