Craycroft, Dr. William F. CRAYCROFT, DR. WILLIAM F., 84, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Jewish Hospital. He was a native of New Haven, KY. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and served on the aircraft carrier, San Jancinto in combat information center as a radar man. He was a graduate of Creighton University and School of Dentistry in 1952. He practiced dentistry in the Shively area for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hix and Josephine Hagan Craycroft; his brother, Dr. Gerald Craycroft; Faith Craycroft, wife of Joe Pat Craycroft. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hagan Craycroft and eight loving children; sons, Bill Jr. (Deana), Joe Pat, Dr. Andrew DMD, Thomas, Robert (Leah), and Paul Craycroft (Laura); daughters, Nanci Coomes (Pat), and Annette Williams (Mark); brothers, Rev. George Craycroft, and Rev. Leo Craycroft, James, Joe Paul, and Edward Craycroft; sisters, Sr. Rose Marie Craycroft, OSU, Josephine Blandford, and Mary Lois Gahlinger, and 11 grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, St. Lawrence Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation at 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Highway, at Rockford Lane. Memorial gifts to American Diabetes Association or Special Olympics.
