Charles D. Taylor, 89, loving husband to Ann Rosenberg Taylor, passed away Thursday October 13, 2016 at Park Terrace Health Center. He was born to the late Hillard Taylor and Edna Tharpe in Louisville on October 21, 1926. He was also preceded in death by a son Charles "Butch" Taylor, II and a brother, Kenneth Taylor
Charles was president and owner of Dixie Freight Traffic Service, chief rate clerk for Duff Truck Line, traffic manager for Kroehler Manufacturing. He was an avid hand ball player; a lifetime member of the YMCA belonging to the Businessman's Club and was a WWII Navy veteran.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by their children, Pam Ginn (Robert), Teri Taylor, Anita Wilson, Missy House (Rob), Melanie Taylor-Kuellmar (Willi), step-son Rolf Haynie along with grandchildren, Robin Bruner, Peggy Munday (Scott), Molly D.Hoeppner, Sarah Gish, great-grandchildren Mason and Blake and 6 additional great- grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by two brothers, Orrin "Tubby", and Gerald "Jerry" Taylor.
