Barry Arnett

Barry (Samuel) Arnett, 66, entered eternal rest on Wednesday February 28, 2018 after a battle with lung cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marnie (Everman) Arnett; sisters, Ruie Arnett and Laura Cockerell.
He is survived by his brother, Gary (Diane), who were his very special caregivers, and a longtime faithful friend, David Jones. He is also survived by brothers, Larry Arnett (Angie), John Arnett (Linda); brother-in-law, Tommy Cockerell; nieces, Stephanie McCoy (Mark), Hope Henley, Melanie Miles (Erik), Amber Merrifield (David), Jennifer Tipton (Richard); nephews, Daniel Cockerell (Sarah), Jason Arnett; great-nephews, Brandon, Caleb, Cameron, Logan, Mason, Canaan, Tyler, Tristen, Richie, and great-niece, Caylie.
The family would like to express their thankfulness to The Hildegard House. Karen Cassidy and the entire staff gave great love, compassion, and very special care to Sam in his last days. Words cannot express how grateful our hearts are to each one who reached out with open arms and gave of themselves so freely to Sam. Also, we want to send a very special thank you to Drew Wagner and the staff at Norton Hosparus Center.
A celebration of Sam's life will be held Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.
Visitation will be Monday from 3pm -7pm and Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
