Barbara Pierce

August 25, 1938 — January 17, 2018

Barbara Jean Pierce, 79, wife to the late James Leon Pierce, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Essex Nursing Home. She was born to the late Erdman and Doris (Farmer) Huston on August 25, 1938. She is also preceded in death by siblings, Michael Caswell, Gene Huston, Rita Montgomery, and Sandra Miller.
While growing up, Barbara participated in many activities at the Cabbage Patch Settlement House and she loved to garden, play bingo, karaoke, work word search puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Ava J. Stidham (Ronnie), Tracey L. Raypole (Henry), grandchildren, Leslie Cornett (Josh), Kristina Stidham, Kevin McCarthy, Angel Raypole, Chandler Raypole, Luke Raypole, Khloe Raypole, and great-grandchildren; Dylan, Brooklyn, Kynlee, and Elyn Cornett. She will also be missed by brothers and sisters, Joann McFarland (Orley), Loretta Toms (Gary), Mark Caswell (Joni).
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until time of service.
