William "Bill" Fraser

William “Bill” Carmon Fraser, 93, passed away on January 22, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care in Tampa, Florida.  He was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas on February 13, 1926 where he spent his childhood.  He made Louisville his home as an adult and moved to Sun City Florida later in life.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ann Braden Fraser, his son, William “Sam” Carmon Fraser Jr., longtime companion, Marie Kesterson, sisters, Ella Griffen, Ludie Madole, Opal Pitts, Jewell Middleton, Marie Boren and brother, Junior Fraser.  He is survived in death by grandson, William “Will” Samuel Fraser, daughter in law, Barbara Fraser and niece, Betty Payne.

Bill served with the Navy in World War II from 1944- 1946 and the Korean War from 1951-1952.  He worked at Standard Gravure in Louisville his entire career, eventually retiring as an executive with the company.   He was vigilant about exercising by going to the gym and walking every day, and in his younger days was a formidable opponent on the racquetball court.   Bill’s sunny, upbeat disposition, beautiful smile and sense of humor brought joy to those in his life.
