Tribute

Sandra “Sandy” Darlene Spencer, 69, passed away February 21, 2022 at 5:10 pm of Covid-19 at Kindred Hospital. Sandy graduated Manual High School, worked at Rainbow Bread for 20 plus years and then worked at Ohio Valley Movers where she performed secretary work.

She lived in Smithfield, Kentucky where she lived on the farm and took great pride in caring for all the calves and cows. She loved spending time outdoors with nature in her surroundings, it brought her much joy. She loved the colors of fall as all the leaves began to change.

She wasn’t fond of the cold but got a spring in her step with her endless trips to beaches that brought her great joy. She loved all outdoors from sunrises to sunsets and lived life to the fullest with little regrets.

She spent 25 beautiful years of life with her significant other, Nathen Adams, whom she loved and enjoyed everyday blessed with a man who loved and cared for her deeply with all of his heart & soul. She will definitely be remembered for living a very competitive goal oriented driven life. She was a strong woman who loved deeply, very competitive playing pool, basketball and cornhole. She loved to dance and make others smile. A loving, caring, funny, strong fighter beautiful inspirational person who had many accomplishments and believed in doing the right thing, the right way the first time.

She was a woman loved by many especially her son. She loved to brag about her amazing son, Steven Spencer. He recalls her racing on foot with him and his friends to challenging an arm wrestling match. She was so proud to be Steven’s mother.

Sandy is survived by her son, Steven Spencer; her significant other Nathan Adams; sister, Angie Thompson; step children, Timmy Spencer, Kristina Spencer, Walter Spencer, Austin and Dylan Adams. She is going to be joined by her mother and father Hazel and Shannon Brown to watch over us all as we continue our journey to watch over one another.

A loving mother and an amazing significant other, a great friend and family person, taken way too soon but blessed by many while passing through.
