Norvel "Chuck" Clarkson

Norvel “Chuck” L. Clarkson, 80, wife to Mary (Bray) Clarkson, passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2021, surrounded by his family, at Baptist Health.  He was born to the late Newman L. and Roxie M. (Brooks) Clarkson in Gamaliel, Kentucky on October 20, 1940.  He is also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene and a sister, Betty.

Chuck worked as a forklift operator for International Harvester, was an Army veteran, and he was a member of the American Legion Post #157.

Besides his wife of 56 years he is survived by their daughter, Cheryl Tomes and his beloved grand-puppy, Dylanger.  He is also survived by his siblings, Phinell, Marvin, Norman, Janice, and Keith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Monday from 2-7 pm at the funeral home.

Due to COVID restrictions, masks are required, and social distancing is expected.
