Kenneth Doyle

October 5, 1951 — February 16, 2022

Doyle, Kenneth Martin (70), passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at home in Louisville. He was born in Louisville in 1951.

A jack of all trades, Ken was known through his life as a musician, a home inspector and renovator, dog trainer, successful business owner, race boat driver, powerboat race producer, and finally retired grumpy old man. He had a passion for Labrador Retrievers, hunting, fishing, fast boats, Florida, and a beach tiki bar. A rebel by nature, he was known for his teasing sense of humor- from gifting his father a goat for Christmas to enforcing curfew by sending the offending teenager on a scavenger hunt for the keys to the house. He was a skilled negotiator with stubborn persistence, having founded and run a successful business for over 15 years. He was lovingly known as Ken, Kenny, Uncle Kenny, Dad, da-ey, and Old Man.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Helen (2004) and Lucian Sr (2021). He is survived by his beloved daughter Susan, former wife and partner of 27 years Diana Freibert, brothers Lucian Jr (Pat) and Mike (Melissa), nephews Christopher (Crystal) and Evan, and nieces Emily, Caryn (John), and Christy, along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

The visitation will take place from 1:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, February 25 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, with a memorial service immediately following at 6:00 pm.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Doctors Without Borders.
