Karen Townsend

Karen E. Townsend, 70, wife to Richard Townsend, went to her Heavenly home, Thursday May 20, 2021.  She was born to the late Wilbur Levi and Floy (Edwards) Shank in Indiana, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1950.

Karen was a member of Harvest Church of God and she was a nurse for Family Health Centers.

Besides her husband of 50 years she is survived by her sons, Gregory Richard Townsend (Renee) and David Alan Townsend (Marketta) along with 7 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two on the way.  She is also survived by her sister, Carol Rodriguez.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 at the funeral home.

Due to COVID restrictions, marks are to be worn at all times and social distancing is expected.
