Joanna Willis

Joanna Marie Willis, 64, loving wife to Michael R. Willis, Sr., passed away, at home surrounded by family, on Monday November 30, 2020.  She was born to the late Elmer, Sr., and Mary Jo (Herrensmith) Higdon on March 21, 1956 in Louisville.

Joanna retired from Meijer and was a member of Friendship Separate Baptist Church.  She loved her family, especially her grandkids, and being part of any kind of family gathering.

Besides her husband of over 30 years, she is survived by children, Matthew Higdon, Johnny Brown, Sr., Mark Brown, Theresa Willis, and Vincent Willis along with 20 grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings, Elmer Higdon, Jr., Rita Higdon, Wade Higdon, Sr., and Mary “P J” Sharpe (Frank).

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 until time of service.

Due to COVID, restrictions apply, and masks must be worn for visitation and service.
