Guy III

Guy William Emmons, III, 72, loving husband to Linda Farris Emmons, went to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Dublin, Ohio. He was born to the late Guy W., II, and Alda (Griesinger) Emmons in Louisville on November 20, 1945. He is also preceded in death by a brother Robert Emmons and a sister Patricia Emmons Chambers.
Guy was an accomplished businessman, a former member of Southeast Christian Church and a current member of Dublin Baptist Church in Dublin, OH. He attended Georgetown University. Guy proudly served 20 years and retired as Sgt. 1st Class in the US Army Medical Corp out of Fort Knox, KY
Guy was a generous man, deeply committed to God and faithfully devoted to his family. He adored his 5 grandchildren, his 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-love, and the love of his life, Linda.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Shelley Emmons Shoemaker (Patrick), Kelley Emmons, Billie Jo Emmons Schira (Matthew) along with grandchildren, Noah (Melissa), Jacob, Alexandra, Lauren, and Charles.
A celebration of Guy's life will be held on Friday at 1:00 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am till time of service.
In lieu of flowers, at Guy's request, donations are encouraged to Dublin Baptist Church Missions, 7195 Coffman Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
