Edward Vittitoe

Edward L. Vittitoe, 94, passed away at Wesley Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday May 12, 2020.  He was born to the late Chester and Sue Altha (Cecil) Vittitoe in Louisville on July 24, 1925.  He is also preceded in death by his lifelong love, Louise Cooley and 4 siblings.

Ed was a devoted employee of Schenley Distillery for 43 years, a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, and he was a very proud WWII Navy veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific 3 stars as a boatswains mate from 1942-1946. He was a devout Catholic, a generous man giving to charities often, and he was a “master” gardener.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, James Vittitoe (Patti Ann), Jeannie Hayes (Don), Sandra Noe Allgeier (Daniel), Paula Test (Mark), and Marlene Smith (Mike).  He will also be missed by his brothers, Don Vittitoe (Laura), Anthony Vittitoe along with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
