Edith Davis

Edith R. Davis, 87, wife of the late Lawton T. Davis Sr., died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Norton Women & Children’ s Hospital. She was born in Barbourville, Ky. December 16, 1932 the daughter of the late Chester & Fannie Ritchie.

Edith was a member of Harvest Church of God. She loved traveling, Camping and her southern gospel music.

She leaves to Cherish her memory, children, Lawton Davis Jr. (Susan), Michael T. Davis (Sheila), Mark Steven Davis (Cheryl), Twila Cowles (Jimmy) and Kim Bishop (Keith). Sister, Opsie Cashman, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sue Davis, daughter-in-law, Jane Davis and 12 brothers and sisters.

A service celebrating Edith’s life will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Dixie Valley Church of God, 4703 Quinn Drive. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until service time. A private burial will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens.
