Wilma Knight

Wilma Swincher Knight, 82, passed away on October 15, 2022. Wilma was born on August 1, 1940, to the late Stanley T Swincher and Lillian Holstein Swincher. She retired from Belknap, Inc after 20+ years of service. Wilma’s family was her life. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had many struggles in the last 40 years since losing her husband, Ray. But she never lost her faith in Jesus. She continued to Love and Trust in Him praying to Him until her final breath. She didn't have much but would give you anything she had to help you. She was easy to forgive and loved everyone. Helping others was her passion. She was the best role model her family could have ever had.

Besides her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ray Knight and her seven siblings.

Wilma is survived by her children, Lydia Taylor (Tim), Cindy Smith, Steven Knight (Michelle), Kevin Knight (Suzie); grandchildren, Jennifer, Megan C, Bethany, Tabitha, Heather, Tiffany, Daniel and Kayleigh; great grandchildren, Tre’, A’mira, Kaitlyn, Jayden, Aleia, Zack, Lucas and Legend. Sister, Mary Strawbridge, She loved and cherished her bonus family, The Knight family.

Funeral services for Wilma will be on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 12:30 pm, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 to 7:00 and on Friday from 9:00 am until time of the service.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Sander's Ridge in Mt Washington for the love and care given to our precious mom/grandma.
