Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Nancy Paulin, 88, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 18, 2021. She passed away peacefully to her place of rest and eternal joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Melton Adams and Mary Bauer and her sisters Mildred Gaddie and Carol Asbridge. She is also now reunited with her late husband Gene Paulin and their daughter, Vicki Paulin Gaddie.
She is survived by her children Catherine “Kate” (George) Joyce, Sandra (Sidney) Catlett, Gene Paulin, Jr., Stanley “Butch” (Vicki) Paulin, Sr., Lisa (Ricky) Dorsey along with 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Known as Mom, Mother, Grandma, Granny, Aunt Nancy or Mrs. Paulin, she exemplified the virtues of the Proverbs 31 woman – a truly good wife who faithfully worked with her husband, Gene, to build a legacy. Together, she and Gene founded Paulin Electric, Inc. and were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church where Nancy was actively involved with the Women’s Ministry. During her career, she taught Real Estate courses at Jefferson Community College. Nancy was the first woman in Jefferson County to obtain an Electrical License.
Nancy will be remembered for her amazing love for her family and friends, her generous spirit and her strength of character.
