Anita Gayle Evans

Anita Gayle Evans, 69 of Scottsburg Indiana passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024. Anita was born on March 15, 1955, to the late Cecil Wagner and Mary Elizabeth Wagner in Mt. Vernon Kentucky. She is joining special people in heaven such as her daughter Mary Shannon Evans, and her brother Clyde Wagner. Left behind to carry on Anitas love and memories is her son, Anthony Evans (Anna), her grandchildren, Alexis Estephan and Bryanna Franklin John Newton, Dakota Evans, Monica Franklin, and Ethan Ditslear, and her brother Carl Wagner (Rissie). Anita was blessed with two great grandchildren, Jovani Edwards and Kaysen Bratcher. Some of her hobbies include volunteering with the homeless, habitat for humanity, and was a member of the bright side. Anita loved volunteering and participating in the angel trees during the Christmas season for children in need. She loved reading, learning and researching her family’s ancestry, working puzzles and scrap booking. Anita also collected and loved her vinyl’s. Anitas visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will be held before the celebration of life on August 27, 2024 from 11:00am until 2:00pm with Anitas celebration of life to follow. Burial will take place at Louisville memorial gardens cemetery.
