Nancy Ashby

Nancy R. Ashby, 73, wife to the late James W. Ashby, Sr., passed away at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital on Monday November 19, 2018.  She was born to the late Thomas R. and Mary E. (Durbin) Garriott in Worthville, Kentucky on June 21, 1945.

She is also preceded in death by a daughter Laura Ashby.

Nancy was a member of Shively Christian Church and Beechland Baptist Church and she worked at Schaffner Elementary School in the cafeteria for Jefferson County Board of Education.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Ashby, Jr. (Shannon), Chris Ashby (Lisa), Grace Ashby (Travis Garrison), Louis Ashby, and Lyndsey Beard (Scott) grandchildren, Christopher, Hanna, Chloe, Toby, Emma, and Addi along with sisters, Linda Lawson, Kathy Harrison (Danny), Shirley Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 until time of service.
